Honor is not a characteristic of rank in the Corps, it is a common attribute shared by every Marine. From they day that they accept the title until they day they day they die, they are all a part of a long history and tradition of God, Corps and Country. From the Commandant down to the newest private, they are all riflemen and all proud and honorable Marines.
actually a better question would be what is the marine cores equivalent to the army rangers. the rangers are considered more highly trained and more elite soldiers than the marines (although a marine will tell you other wise). And the marines equivalent would be MARSOC which stands for Marine Special Operations Command.
hell no the army is fine but the soldiers in the army compare nothing to the best out their the marines no matter what the mos is.
The Russian Spetznaz are a special forces group comparable to the Army Rangers. It would be expected that the Spetznaz would perform better in what is asked of them than the US Marines.
Marine boot camp - 12 weeks Army boot - 8 weeks Marines are generally known to be more strict and disciplined while the army has greater numbers.......of course it depends on if you ask an army cat or marine. I was both, and the Marines train all the time and are EXTREMELY strict on physical fitness tests, so I would say the USMC does.
Yes, but you still need to be physically qualifiedand graduate from from enlisted boot camp if that is the route you choose. If you have a Bachelor Degree in H.R. you can apply to be an officer in the Marine Corps while attending college or be part of the NROTC program, but you will still have to graduate from O.C.S. (Officer Candidate School). There is a reason for the slogan "The Few, the Proud, the Marines" and "Leaders among Leaders". I was an officer in the Marine Corps and it isn't easy. The Marine Corps gives you many challenges to accomplish and it makes a better leader out of you. The easy part is getting a Bachelor Degree in college.
Well it's a matter of personal preference. Army will help with school more, but marine scout snipers are top notch.
no
Marines
Because it was designed by officers and SNCO's... Send a Lcpl to make it and I'm sure it would be much better.
The marine and the air force wing of the military has better opportunities for jobs after leaving the military.
Police they are better trained, also the swat team is more trained than marines!
