Wolves do use their tongues to groom themselves. They don’t always do that, however. They do bite and scratch to get rid of itches and annoying bugs, but a lot of animals use their mouths and tongues to clean themselves. It’s not as if all of them have opposable thumbs, so they can’t exactly take baths.
