Yes, in a pack there is always a fight over the prey they killed, and it is first, most will-strong that gets the most. Usually, they don't fight or even hurt each other, it is mostly growling and jamming jaws close to the other wolf.

How do wolves get food and space?

To get food, wolves hunt, either alone or in packs. To get space (territory) some wolves have to fight over it. Most wolves find an open area and mark territory. Packs mark territory as well. Great question :)

Do wolf packs attack other wolf packs?

No, wolves absolutely do not hunt each other. The wolves in a pack are loyal to each other in every way, although wolves may fight with other packs if they cross territories. Wolf pups may preform fake fights that are just for fun, and it is completely safe, as they try not to harm each other severely.

What hunts the gray wolf for food?

Hunters. (People thats hunt wolves) Well, I'm not an expert, but I don't think so. Although gray wolves can be killed by other animals if they get into a fight, they are generally the main predators in their environment. I don't know if this helps you, but I hope it does. Wolves are probably the main predators of their habitat but may get killed in a fight with their prey, a forest predator fighting over food, or rarely another wolf in a fight. But grown wolves do not have a main predator, I think they are top of the food chain for their envirounment. Although sometimes bears may dig up wolf dens and kill and eat the pups. ): im pretty sure that their only predator is humans... also im not sure but i think that global warming has affected them.

Do all wolves mate?

Yes. In the breeding season, when a female is in heat, a lot of male wolves will fight to mate with her. The male wolves fight, and when one of them does get to mate with the female, he guards her, so other wolves know she is taken. However, sometimes, another stronger, older wolf may fight the male wolf, mate with the female again, and stay with her for life.
