As a religion, it is unclear what "Islam's role" is on the matter. As concerns the clerics in Saudi Arabia, they are usually the most vocal opponents of any increase or growth of women's rights.

Islam.
for sure women in syria have civil rights as men because syria is Muslim country and in Islam women and men ar equal .. woman in syria can do anything man can do
ther is no justification. Islam liberates women from the oppression of society. Islam stated all women rights and practiced it since the 7th century while women got their human rights in Europe just one century ago. See related question below.

Women can definitely vote in Islam. The Quran gives men and women equal rights, it's a different thing when some Muslim countries have leaders who suppress the rights of women. Pakistan which is a Muslim country actually had a woman president for a few years. Whenever anyone says that Islam doesn't give women equal rights that is far from the truth, it's all written in the Quran. Women's rights don't get suppressed because of Islam it's because of bad leaders and governments.
All women rights are assured in Islam religion (per Quran God revelation to prophet Muhammad, PBUH) before other previous religions and before even UN decree of women rights. However, both Islam and Judaism religions do not allow women to practice any kind of sex outside marriage and don't allow breaking pregnancy.
To make a long answer short-Yes ___________________________________________ Islam religion is the first faith that assured women human rights even before the UN human rights. Refer to related question below.
