Coordinating colors look good together. But sometimes, using contrasting color(s) is visually interesting. It depends. I took a class on color theory and this is what I learned. Usually contrast colors like red and green, orange and blue, or purple and yellow look good together. I know it might sound weird, but sometimes it's true. I think yellow and purple are good together myself. Also, the primary colors look great together: red, yellow and blue. Another way is to do the opposite of that and do secondary colors: purple, green and orange.
I can make pretty good nachos. But I just farted.

if it's a brighter blue and green, i would tend to put a bright yellow or maybe a white with it.
