Heat for tired cold for swollen heat or cold for sore, let your gut tell you on that one.
The symptoms of a sore throat, being weak, and tired are symptoms in themselves. You may have strep throat, allergies or just a cold.
It may sooth the symptoms but it doesn't really help heal a sore. Get some cold sore cream like Abreva and apply it regularly to the sore.
If it's all ready broken into a sore then you're probably not going to get rid of it in 30 minutes. Apply some ice to the sore then some cold sore cream.
If you have a sore throat, but no cold symptoms and you feel tired it could just be a cold. You may not have mono again but it is possible to get it twice.
If your nose is dry and your throat dry and sore it is heat, if you nose is dripping and wet then it's the cold.
There is no medicine for it but you could try putting a cold clothe (soaked in cold water) to stop the swelling or bruise and apply to sore arrea if you have that or you could put a hot clothe (soaked in hot water) to calm it down on sore arrea. I'd say the best thing you can do for that would be by stretching. But sometimes that can make it worse but it all depends on how sore it is. Good luck
put ice on the sore spot, not for longer then 20 mins then apply heat to it
You can get a cold sore wet.
I can't think of any special risks that apply to that situation.
Use ice for injuries to calm down any damaged tissues that are inflamed or swollen. Use heat for sore muscles, chronic pain and stress.
tired or sore
A cold-sore is apparently caused by the 'Herpes Simplex' virus(HSV1), which remains in the system and is highly contagious via saliva during kissing or actually making contact with the erupted sore! It can be sparked through stress, hormones or a sudden change in body temperature. As viruses thrive in heat, the best treatment I have found is the application of ice to the affected area, as soon a tingle is felt. If the sore has erupted, dose orally with Lysine Powder and apply Manuka Honey to the sore( both available from local health-shops ).
