It had to be conservative in order to pass. The US was very weak at that point and any mishap, like dividing over certain things in the constitution could lead to major problems for the young US
Yes very much it is used. This is not an outdated document, but one that is used in court cases, elections, and decisions concerning laws.
A president can not rewrite the constitution. To change the constitution requires an admendment to be approved and the president has nothing to do with it. Considering the historical fact that the constitution has lasted 200 years it has proven to be the foundation of the United States. Men write documents and men are flawed so matter what man writes it will always have problems. Considering this fact the constitution is a pretty good document. Man should look to himself if there are problems and think of ways to solve them.
They had a problem with the Constitution but not the Articles. The Articles gave them as much power as independent nations and it also was rushed.
I'd have to say yes since they are above the overwhelming situations and serious problems.
