I was always told that you should only cut hair when its wet. It really depends on how tight the 'curl' in your hair is. After you put in a relaxer, the strands of your hair will be of differing lengths, so then you can cut it and trim the ends evenly.
(Do not let them cut your hair "so it will all be even". A hairdresser did that to me, many years ago. The section in the back of my hair was over 12 inches long, while the front was about 3-4 inches long. My hair takes a long time to grow.
Well, I let this (&@%^#*) "even my hair out'. When she finished my hair was three inches long all over my head! Then she called a girl to sweep away all of my hair on the floor. I was not a Christian then, and I performed royally).
