I was always told that you should only cut hair when its wet. It really depends on how tight the 'curl' in your hair is. After you put in a relaxer, the strands of your hair will be of differing lengths, so then you can cut it and trim the ends evenly.
(Do not let them cut your hair "so it will all be even". A hairdresser did that to me, many years ago. The section in the back of my hair was over 12 inches long, while the front was about 3-4 inches long. My hair takes a long time to grow.
Well, I let this (&@%^#*) "even my hair out'. When she finished my hair was three inches long all over my head! Then she called a girl to sweep away all of my hair on the floor. I was not a Christian then, and I performed royally).

If you have split ends you should consider getting a hair cut!
Go to the expert (hairdresser) and have a treatment for your split ends
No, split ends cause hair to frizz and look dry. You should cut them
well all you have to cut is 2 cm
You can try to prevent split ends from happening, but once they do you have to get them cut off. All you need is a simple 1 to 2 fingers trim (depending on how bad your split ends are) and then voila, no more split ends and you can start fresh.
The most effective way to help split ends is to get a hair cut and remove them. After getting a hair cut use products that help moiturize to help prevent split ends. It is also a good practice to get a trim once every six weeks to keep split ends from forming.
just look at your hair, (the tips) and if it looks like it's kind of cut in half, there you have split ends.
Cut your hair a couple of inches from the bottom to get rid of split ends or ask the hairdresser for a trim
Yes, that's the best thing. It's almost impossible to glue the split ends back together, and if you don't cut them off the hair will continue to split. You don't have to cut off much more than just the split end.
To avoid split ends
Split ends are permanent and therefore cannot be "cured". You can either:Prevent them: Use a good conditioner. Also, avoid prolonged contact with the sun and avoid putting unneeded chemicals in your hair.Remove them: Get the ends of your hair cut. Be sure to get the entirety of your ends cut as the split ends may become worse if not removed.
There is a certain type of shampoo and conditioner that fixes split ends........ Not sure what its called!! Sorry!!
