You can always request a reason by letter, but you cannot force an answer usually unless you file a lawsuit (perhaps over a discrimination law) and follow proceedures. The property owner generally has a right to ask anybody to leave the property and to stay off the property. That is why you cannot stay there and ask after you have been asked to leave.

Added: The above answer is essentially correct. Don't forget - a pub is PRIVATE PROPERTY. They offer their premises for the public's use, but they do retain control over who may enter and who may not.

What does barred by foreclosure mean?

When a foreclosure is conducted according to law, the debtor's right of redemption is forever barred by the foreclosure. That means the debtor has lost the title to the property and the lender is the new owner. That phrase is also used when a municipality takes possession of a property for non-payment of real estate taxes through a judicial process. The final court decree in a tax title case forever bars the delinquent owner's right of redemption by reason of the tax foreclosure.
