Do you have any advice on how I can hold my hamster that I have not been able to hold after trying everything?

Well first how long do you have your hamster because if you have it only a couple of days it doesen't know you and don't want's to be holded.Or maybe you didn't treated your hamster very well.Think about that.

Please explain what you mean. If you are worried about how they would get along together the best advice would be to keep the hamster in a safe secure place where it would not be able to escape, and your dog would not be able to get to.

Yes, depending on your cage but your hamster may find a way out and run away. If your cage has a mesh metal then your hamster may be able to fit through but usually not. My hamster is always trying to escape. I solve this by putting her in her ball to run around the room for up to 40 minutes. Afterwords she is usually tired and will take a nap.
