Think about what baptism is. All it is is a way to announce to the world that you are a Christian. It is a symbolic thing. It would be better if you did so you have better testimony to people.

Protestants are baptized in the church, in a place especially built for that, usually behind the pulpit. The special area where the baptism takes place is called the "vestry."

Prior to the baptism in modern churches, baptism took place in warm weather in a river or other nearby body of water.

Protestants often Baptise their children as infants. At these baptisms parents, other family, and members of the church promise to care for the child as their own and to raise him/her in a Christian manner.

The "Affirmation of Faith" is a sort of second baptism, where a person who has been baptized will announce publicly that they choose to follow the will of Christ and be a part of the church family at their own free will. This occurs anytime between early adolescence and death.

You are a protestant divorced and would like to marry a Catholic girl in the Catholic Church?

.Catholic AnswerYou need to make an appointment with your local priest, you will need to apply for a decree of nullity. The Court will examine your case and determine if you marriage as a protestant was valid or not. If it was invalid they will issue a decree of nullity, and you would be free to marry. A lot depends on whether the two involved in the protestant marriage were baptized, if they weren't there is the Pauline privilege. I believe there is also a Petrine privilege if you were baptized, you need to speak to a priest.

What is a seasonal Catholic?

A seasonal Catholic is basically a Protestant who was baptized and raised Catholic, but looks on the Church the same way a Protestant looks on his "church". In other words, a seasonal Catholic does not realize that the Catholic Church is the Body of Christ on earth; and consequently, they do not follow Catholic doctrine, they do not attend Confession regularly, and they usually only show up for Mass on Christmas and Easter, as if they were a Protestant.
