Teenagers were concerned about the military draft during the 60's. Should they flee to Canada? Should they resist the draft? Should they volunteer for another service quickly, before the Army gets them? Should they enroll in college to avoid the draft, instead of just getting a job? It sounds like possibly he many be ADD or ADHD which is a disorder in many kids, I would ck. with his doctor first, 2nd be firm, set rules, give love, put him on a set schedule. Your best bet is the USAF, which offers training for which you receive college credit through the College of the Air Force. These credits are accepted at many colleges and universities. Given the shorter deployments and the fact that the USAF has no infantry or artillery, you will likely be more able to schedule classes at a local school and continue your education. While the military does support the pursuit of high education, it does not hand out degrees to everyone that enlists. Make sure you clarify the options with the recruiter. And join the Air Force.
