Can you give your dog baby food?

Well, It depends what age it is. If it is a newborn it needs its mothers milk.

If it is just starting to eat solids, then you can feed it regular dog food, soaked in water for about 15 minuites, so that it is soft, but not too soft, so they can build strong teeth.

Dogs should eat dog food and nothing else. If you feed them baby food or what you eat, they will get too much fat and not enough vitamins for a dog etc. Letting them sample once or so is fine though.

Maybe you are talking about a Toy Breed of dog?? If this is a live puppy and not an adult dog or a real toy non living dog, put it on a good name brand of dry Puppy Food. The dry food has more calories in it than canned food and is good for cleaning the teeth. Feed your pup 2-3 times a day. Keep on the Puppy food for 6 months to a year old then switch to an adult food. Always feed a good name dog food, not some cheap food. I personally like Natural Choice Puppy food or Innova Puppy Food. If your dog is an Adult dog then feed it a dry adult formula dog food such as Innova, etc.

Baby food is prepared for human infants, not for canines, and therefore lacks the proper nutrients for your pet. If a dog is recovering from dental surgery or has trouble chewing food due to an injury, it is usually acceptable to feed the animal baby food (beef, lamb or chicken) for a day or two until it is able to eat soft dog food, and eventually dry kibble.
