No, you can hire (or complete yourself) a introduction to each chapter and if completed properly can be used to intro the book to a publishing company. This method is possible; however if you are not a well known author, be sure to have a fantastic summary of each chapter. This way is not promised as fool proof and be sure to do some legal checkup (talk to a copywrite lawyer) before you hand over any of your work to be read.
