Apparently you can have just one sim card even if the phone is dual sim compatible.
EDIT: 'Dual SIM' - simply gives the user the option to use two different numbers in one handset. It's a users choice - not mandatory.
Yes, but not without certain disadvantages such as:
1. One sim card provides only half of the storage space that could otherwise be utilized to store more data.
2. You cannot categorize certain files you might prefer to store on the other sim card. For example, you may want to store your business contacts or your "friends" contacts on one sim card and your family contacts on the other.
3. You also loose the ability to assign certain call functions that could be on standby on one sim card while all other call functions are active on the other.

No. They only give you dual sim slots so you can have a vodaphone and a telecom sim in it at the same time or any other network. But you can have only one sim in it at a time
yes you can the dual sim is only for people who want to have two separate sim cards for different plans or international trust me I just found out too lol
It's not necessary to have both SIM cards installed if you don't need them. Dual-SIM is simply an option to have two phone numbers for one handset.
There is nothing like a dual sim card, but rather a dual sim card phone. A phone with two sim card slots, allowing you to carry two numbers and switch from one to the other. This is super popular in China.
The SIM card is what goes in the back of some cell-phones to both make them work and also carry the information chip needed like for a pre-paid phone card for example. A dual SIM cell-phone would carry 2 SIM cards in this instance.
YES, without any problem.
It simply means the phone is capable of using two SIM cards (instead of the normal one). Although the phone needs at least one SIM card to function, you don't have to use a second SIM card unless you want a handset with two phone numbers.
for this question i have a very simple answer, just set one of the sim cards the one that is switched off into divert all phone calls. but i have another question. HOW CAN I RECIEVE MY SMS'S FROM BOTH SIM CARDS WITHOUT SWITCHING FROM ONE SIM TO ANOTHER? well depends if ur dual sim phone has the setting for dual sim standby then it will work both callin and sms
SIM cards do not have to be manufactured by the same company as the phone itself. There are many manufacturers of SIM cards out there.
No A phone card usually refers to a kind of charge card, something you pay with. A SIM-card is what gives a cell phone its number, it's identity.
There are some iphones that do have dual sim cards.
Yes, SIM cards do store phone passwords. A SIM card helps the phone service provider identify users by a pass code. When a SIM card is inserted into a phone it remembers text messages, calls, missed calls, and anything else the owner of the phone does.
It depends on your phone but sim cards are often used to boost performance on downloads I would get a sim card for ur phone
Technically, Sim cards have nothing to do with the Internal memory. Sim cards don't use the internal memory at all. The Internal memory is used for storage of Photos clicked on phone, Music files and Apps by default. Now this can be changed in the Settings menu for Android. U can also use an External Memory Card to extend the memory of your phone to store more data. The maximum capacity of the Memory Card varies from phone to phone. Most phones available nowadays allow usage of 32GB memory card. So don't worry about it, u can definitely go ahead with 4GB phone with dual sim.
There is no such thing as a CDMA SIM card, since CDMA phones do not use SIM cards.
