yes. you drain as much engine oil from them sump as you can by undoing the 13mm sump plug. you then undo all the bolts holding the sump onto the engine
Easy, put the car on ramps. Remove the sump guard plasctics. Drain the oil from the sump. Disconnect the oil level sensor wires. Undo the 3 bolts on the bell-housing that holds unto the sump, you will need a 5mm ball-end allen socket. Undo the 20, 10mm head bolts on the sump bottom. Remove the sump, you may need to tap with a soft-head hammer. This is one of the easiest sumps to remove with the engine in the car.
go to halfords, buy engine degreaser, (that u add to oil to clean engine.... then follow instructions, an drain oil from sump plug located underneath engine, and then replace with new oil, and also...

Yes you need a Torx bit to remove the sump plug. Also be careful when you remove the sump plug, there is a O ring on the plug that may fall off. Oh by the way, alot of Astra bolts use Torx (Many manufacturers recomend that you replace the sump plug & o ring)

the gear box must be removed to remove dual mass flywheel as this covers 2 or 3 of the sump bolts. also the engine needs to be raised from its mounts to get acsess to a couple of other sump bolts on the drivers side above the subframe or remove the subframe itself. you can get to the rest of the bolts i think there are 19 alltogether. hope this helps
when you look at the van from the front the lowest part of the engine is the sump on the botttom of this is the plug (21mm spanner). when underneath the engine the oil filter is to the front of the sump
