No, you only need to loosen your alternator belt, disconnect/unbolt the alternator and if you need more room which still wont be much, unbolt the passenger side mount after supporting it with a wood block on a jack and lower it a bit very slowly though. Wear gloves or watch your knuckles its a tight area.

You do not have to change the timing belt to replace the water pump. You do have to remove the timing belt cover to be able to access the bolts that hold the water pump on.
If you have timing chain it means that your water pump is connected to one of the belts. So the answer is no. But make sure that you have timing chain. Because if you have timing belt then the water pump is connected to the timing belt. And the latter one has to removed if you want to change the pump.
