To sync your Afterglow controller with the PS3, first ensure the controller is charged. Connect the controller to the PS3 using a USB cable, then press the "PS" button on the controller. The LED lights should flash and then remain solid, indicating that the controller is synced. You can then disconnect the USB cable, and the controller should work wirelessly.
Well if it is like normal controllers, you just plug it into the cord you use to charge your controller off of the playstation with.
To get a controller to switch what PS3 it is connected to first plug it in with a charge cable. Press the PS button and wait for it to sync. After the controller is assigned a player number it it connected to the other PS3 and ready to be used.
It does but you need the usb cable so it syncs with the new ps3. Every time you switch ps3 you need to sync your controller with the ps3 for it to work.
Yes. Take a mini USB from another device, like a camera or mp3 player. If it is the right type, it will fit into the slot on the controller and charge/sync it.
Usually if you plug the usb cable (controller charger cable) into the ps3 console and the ps3 wireless controller it will sync the controller with the console. I had this problem when I went to a friends house and brought my extra controllers. The Controllers just set there and blinked till I plugged it into his usb cable that hooked up to his ps3 console. Hope this helps
To authorize your controller for a different ps3, just plug your controller in using your wire and turn it on. Then you can unplug it and it should recognize that the ps3 you just plugged it into is the one you are playing on.
If your like me the Sony HDTV remote also operates the PS3 because of the HDMI sync and so does the Home theater remote
this question wasn't answered @ all! Gamestop makes a controller for the PS3 and it does not have a USB/miniusb plug-in @ all! I bought one of these crap controllers that doesn't seem to be able to sync with the PS3. However i just found something that mentioned "bluetooth scan", so im gonna go try that before trying to return it to gamestop AGAIN! THEY TOLD ME THEY CAN'T TAKE IT BACK EVEN THOUGH IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ABLE TO SYNC/WORK @ ALL WITH THE PS3!!! tHIS IS BS!!!! -Disgruntled
