I had to replace the engine in my 2002 Intrepid and it cost me a good $3,500. They have to match the year and vin number up with a compatible engine and the mechanic will need to tear the whole front end apart to lift the engine in/out. I can tell you there are very few engines left when I was searching for one a month ago.
There is no assembling it. If it is apart, replace it. If you mean how is it installed, the spring side goes towards the engine block.
Most shops will charge $900.00 to a $1000.00, this is a lot of work. They basically have to tear apart the whole upper half of engine and replace all of the gaskets. Not to mention at that time it would be a good idea to do the valves, the gaskets would already come in the kit, so just the labor to change valve seats.
On the 2.4L the pump is driven by the timing belt. On the 2.7L it is driven by the timing chain. ON either engine the entire front if the engine has to be taken apart to replace the waterpump.
Take the engine apart. There is no reason to replace the chains unless you are overhauling the engine, normally.
DEPENDS ON THE MAKE AND MOTOR BUT MOST ARE A PRESS FIT INTO THE BLOCK WITH A RUBBER O RING AT THE BOTTEM. GOOD LUCK There should be a fastner that secures the tube assembly near the top of the engine. after this is removed you should be able to just pull the tube right out of engine, you may find it comes out better if you twist it while pulling.
It on the other side of the car under the glove boxs you have to take it all apart. Don't break anything
I wouldn't bet my engine on it, but the answer is probably no. As a Dodge mechanic, I can tell you the answer is no. It will run with out oil until it seizes or blows apart.
You will have to take the dash apart and replace the bulb.
You have to pull apart the engine and transmission. If your asking this question, I would belive the best way to replace the cutch is taking it to the repair shop.
It was a horrible design. Its very typical on the 2.7's. The glued seam seperates and you will have to replace the water outlet. Not a 10 minute job either, you have to pull the plenum off to get at one of the screws.
This part must be defective on this year intrepid because I've this part replaced twice this year and this last time it actually blew entirely apart leaving only the bleeder screw with a small piece of plastic. My advice is to have dodge repair it because it will most likely break again
