What is the estimated cost for a replacement key for a 1998 ford exppedition?
The key has an electronic anti-theft feature, the hardware store can't maje a copy that will work in the ignition switch. My dealer wanted around $32 for the extra key if I programmed it myself (see owner's manual) or $80 if they programmed it. To program a spare, you need two keys that work, and to follow the instructions from the book.
79 ford 302 point gap?
First of all, a 1979 Ford 302 should have electronic ignition if it's original. If you have a point distributor in there, it's been changed because someone didn't want to deal with the temperamental early electronics (I've done this myself !). The gap should be .017 (seventeen thousandths).

Call the dealer for that. You cant just call the dealer for that, its why i asked this question, you need a code and i have found the codes for Pontiac but not Oldsmobile, there is also a number to call once you have the code. You can take it in to a dealer but all they can do is call for you and i havent found anyone to do for less than $80 bucks so im trying to do it myself there has to be a way . but thanks anyway
