No.You can buy a gift card and use it whenever you want, in fact if you used an iTunes gift card int he app store you might purchase an app now but not another one until a few months from now. There is no expiration date. The only cache is that with itunes gift cards they can only be used either in itunes or the app store not both.

∙ 13y agoThe value of the voucher is credited to your iTunes account. You can then use it whenever you buy something from the iTunes store. It does not have to be used in a single purchase.
