On my 1966 bus the gas gauge has 3 terminals. +,G and the light.
The + is black, G is Grey and the light is the striped wire
need to know where to tie in to the fuel gage have a black and white omming out of fank
might need a new fuel tank floater, and/or fuel pump. or it could be a short in wiring around fuel pump
The fuel gauge and the fuel pump are in the tank. This suggests that the fuse for this line may be blown. If not the wire may have been severed. The worst possibility is the pump/gauge must be replaced which requires the tank to be lowered.
Fuel gauge tells you when to fill up.
It send the signal to your fuel gauge to let you know the amount of fuel you have in your tank
It is important to know when car parts quit working, and why. A faulty voltage regulator, blown fuse, or the wiring to the battery can cause this problem.?æ
Put a fuel pressure gauge on it and that will tell you.
It is either the sender unit in the fuel tank, the wiring for that, or the guage itself. Some have the sender inside the fuel pump, which kind of means replacing the whole pump. Check the wiring first make sure its not corroded and is secure. If the wiring is ok, then chances are its the sender or the gauge. Only someone who knows what they are doing can adequately test the gauges. You should take it to an auto electrician many will test it for free give you a quote on fixing it, others will charge a fee just to look at it. Try and find one who will check it out for free and give a quote so you know what you are up for.
where is fuel gauge and how to replaced for a 1986 Mazda pick up B2000 please let me know thank you
No it doesn't. Most super sport bikes do not have a fuel gauge they rely on the rider to know. Pretty easy to plot though after a couple tanks.
Not sure what your problem is but, one wire comes from each tank and goes up to the dashboard switch. Blue comes up from the left tank, brown w/ white stripe comes up from the right tank. Solid brown goes to the gauge. There will also be a wire from the fuel switching valve (green). This one activates the fuel valve itself. I need to know what voltages/resistances should be at the back of the gauge ?
Your pressure gauge may be broken....If it fluctuates, then you know its not your gauge, but if your gauge always reads 80, it may need to be replaced.
