Leviticus says absolutely nothing about gays, since the concept of sexual orientation was completely unknown in Biblical times. Leviticus 18:22 has been used to persecute gay people, but it actually offers multiple interpretations. Even the most traditional interpretation only talks about sex, not sexual orientation.
More compelling is Leviticus 2:18, which says:
וַיֹּאמֶר ה׳ אֱלֹוקים, לֹא-טוֹב הֱיוֹת הָאָדָם לְבַדּוֹ; אֶעֱשֶׂה-לּוֹ עֵזֶר, כְּנֶגְדּוֹ׃
And the ETERNAL G-d said: 'It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper for him.
The Hebrew word for Helper in this verse is ezer (עזר) which is masculine. Now it is true that masculine Hebrew nouns can also be used generically to include the feminine, but if this "helper" was only supposed to be a woman, we would expect the word ozeret (עוזרת). We can conclude that this verse could apply to male helpers or female helpers.
See It is Not Good for Man to be Alone for an interpretation by Rabbi Stephen Greenberg that effectively banishes the idea that gay people are sinful.

Historically, gay people have not been offered the chance to contribute to the discussion of what this verse means. Rabbi Stephen Greenberg claims that, "ultimately, Leviticus 18:22 is about violence and degradation. In the ancient world, people were divided sexually into penetrators and people who were penetrated. To be in the latter category was to be demeaned; in most cultures, it included only women, slaves and non-adult boys."Read more: http://forward.com/articles/5581/it-is-not-good-for-man-to-be-alone/

Literally, "Leviticus" means "of priests" (Kohanim).Leviticus (Vayikra) is the third book of the Torah (Five Books of Moses). It covers the topics of sacrifices, kosher-laws, ritual purity and impurity, laws against incest, laws of the kohanim, festivals, the seventh year and the Yovel (Jubilee year), and more.
The word "Leviticus" comes from the Latin translation of the Hebrew term "wayyiqra," meaning "and He called." Leviticus is the third book of the Bible and is named after the Levites, the priestly tribe of Israel who are central to the book's content.
The word "clean" is found many, many times in the Bible. Scriptural references (at least in the NIV version) that use the word "clean" can mostly be found in the book of Leviticus. Leviticus is the third book of the Old Testament.
There is not much I would disagree with in the book of Leviticus. This is a narrative from the Bible.
