i do like to work for wikianswers because you get to answer questions and help others so they can learn more. so, go ahead and ask as many questions as you want. that are appropriate for your age. i hope you like wikianswers. tell your friends about it. thanks 4 partcipating @ wikianswer.com
Only a very few admins are actually paid. I'm a category supervisor, which is a voluntary position. Nonetheless, I really enjoy it. It is fun to work with questions and pleasant to satisfy curiosity. Also, as a supervisor, I am subject to more responsibility and have more powers to keep WA organized. There is a forum just for supervisors and gifts are occasionally given. However, do not become a supervisor just for the swag!
it is working.
No, WikiAnswers is totally voluntary, no community hours are given.
Like any website, WikiAnswers has times when it's not working properly. Usually, this means that it's just overloaded with visitors. When this happens, just try again later. If you notice a glitch, you can report it to any supervisor or post it in the forum.
no. you see it working right now.
It would certainly stop working for you. The rest of us could continue making contributions.
WikiAnswers is not currently working on any further non English projects.
Working a wiki (like WikiAnswers) is very simple. In most wiki websites (like WikiAnswers), there is a simple 'edit' or 'improve' button near an answer. Click to edit the text so you can improve it, and then press 'save', which will save the improvements you made to the text.
We are all over, living and working in your community. Some of us even answer questions on WikiAnswers!
There are risks working for any company - but the biggest risk working on the WikiAnswers part of Answers.com is the risk of getting pulled off into researching one question for hours rather than doing the rest of the stuff you are supposed to do. :)
No, WikiAnswers does not have that feature.
WikiAnswers does not know your reasons for wanting that job. You'll have to figure out what makes you interested in the career path you've chosen and be able to tell the employer why you like working with the aged.
Many of the contributors on WikiAnswers are librarians! And most of us are professionals working in areas that we answer questions in, or are very active in organizations that are related to the topics that we like to answer.
