Actually, its much better not to have the first one installed. It may cause problems on your computer!!! Happened to me...I had to re-download all of my extension packs...ugh. Anyway, you have to uninstall the normal sims (title: Sims 2) and re-load the Sims 2 Double Deluxe! Back up your saved games to disc if you don't want to loose them.

∙ 12y agoYou shouldn't be downloading The Sims in any kind of order because that is software pirating and it is illegal. This is because The Sims, in any version, is not offered as Shareware or Freeware - it is only available in Retail, which costs money. Getting it any other way besides as a gift from someone else or a purchase yourself is the same as stealing because you are getting it for free.
However, you do have install each of The Sims expansion and stuff packs in the order in which they were released.

Unfourtunatley there is no such thing as Sims Online because The Sims requires a download and in order to download it you'd have to purchase it from a store because it also requires a CD & a bar code.
