If it's a truck which anyone else would be required to have a CDL to drive, then yes.
In most cases, yes.
Yes
To own one, no. To operate one, yes.
A CDL I believe only covers the person who passed the test for it. Your workers need their own CDLs.
There are many different pay scales for a CDL truck driver. Much of the pay debate will depend upon whether you do long trips or day trips, drive your own truck or drive a company truck, or the basic contract between you and the trucking company for which you are employed.
Mexico has its own license classification system. Commercial truck drivers do have to upgrade their license.
First requirement - the contract driver must be properly licensed ... must have a CDL to drive a log truck.
Under federal law, a first response vehicle, when operated by first responders in the course of their duties, does not require a CDL. However, many departments set their own criteria requiring one. What class of CDL depends on the setup (single truck or truck + trailer) and the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating/Gross Combination Weight Rating.
It depends, but last check on another CDL training school was under $2000 for a week's training in a truck. You would do the CDL training for the license on your own, or online at the school. You would also need a physical.
A commercial drivers license or CDL is required to drive semi trucks, tractor trailers, and eighteen-wheelers. Most companies will require a minimum amount of experience or graduation from a truck driving school. Each state has slightly different requirements for their CDL so make sure you check your own state's requirements.
Your CDL permit is in addition to the class of licence you had beforehand. So long as you were licenced to drive a car before you got your CDL permit, you can drive your own car while you possess a CDL permit.
If it's a registered farm vehicle which belongs to them, then no, although Ohio may still have their own special licencing requirements for them to possess an upgraded non-CDL licence. If the vehicle is not registered as a farm vehicle, and isn't a type exempted from CDL requirements under FMCSR (recreational vehicles, firefighting/first response apparatus, etc.) then yes, they will.
Now in day is not that easy to find a truck driving job, even wiht the cdl license, unless you got your own truck and willing to work for less than the average workers.
Penske has 29 locations in Louisiana, but you'll have to have a driver who already has their CDL to actually rent it. You can't actually drive it on your own - even to the testing facility - if you have an actual CDL, rather than a permit, and Penske or Ryder may not even allow the truck to be used for that. But, it never hurts to call and ask.
