No. A passport is sufficient to travel to Mexico. A birth certificate is not valid for international travel. If you are traveling by land or sea, then you can enter Mexico with a US passport card, "enhanced" drivers license or "enhanced" non-driver ID.
Yes. You need a U.S. Passport. See related links.
Yes you do.
Every child needs his/her own passport to travel outside of their home country.
I just researched this, and I was told that no child no matter how young is allowed to travel by air to Mexico without a passport. My child is 3 months old, and we are going when she will be 8 months old and I was told that she must have a passport and my husband and I must go to the nearest passport agency to fill out everything and sign the necessary documents. We both must be there.
Yes.
Yes if you are to travel by air but if it is by sea of land, no need but you need a proof of identification and the passport is the best one you have for the child.

Beginning in June 2009, a passport or alternative document such as a "passport card" will be required for travel by land and sea, but special provisions will be made to allow school or other organized groups of children ages 18 and under who are US or Canadian citizens to enter the US with proof of citizenship alone. In order to prevent international child abductions, minors traveling without their parents, or with only one parent, may be asked to present proof that they have their parents' authorization for travel. * A minor traveling unaccompanied by his or her parents must carry a notarized letter signed by the parents authorizing the travel. * If only one parent is traveling with the child, they may be asked to show either documents proving they have sole legal custody of the child, or a notarized letter from the other parent authorizing the child to travel outside the country of origin. To see the requirements and obtain the forms to get your child a passport, please see this government website: http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/minors/minors_834.html
He/She will need an ID of some sort, but not specifically a passport.
If you are going on a cruise from a US port and the child is a US citizen, you will only need a state-issued copy of the child's birth certificate. If you are flying, the child will need a passport.
The law states that she does have to get a passport for this baby or child and yes, she can travel back to her native country, but, she does have to come back every six months because the child is indeed a born citizen of the U.S. The law states that she does have to get a passport for this baby or child and yes, she can travel back to her native country, but, she does have to come back every six months because the child is indeed a born citizen of the U.S.
No but they need a passport if they live in Canada.
In the UK, all children including babies need their own passport. You can apply for a child passport in the same was as an adult - online with the IPS, or at certain main post offices. The price is lower for a child passport but it only lasts 5 years.
