Drain the radiator. Remove the top radiator hose on the 2003 Buick Century. Unbolt the hose inlet. Remove the inlet housing and take out the thermostat. Replace the thermostat, install the housing and top hose, and refill with antifreeze.
Follow the top radiator hose to the top of the motor and it should be fastened to a housing. The thermostat is inside this housing which comes off with two bolts. You may have to buy a gasket for this housing when you purchase the thermostat.

Drain the radiator. Remove the 91 Centurys top radiator hose. Unbolt and remove the top water inlet on the engine. Pull the thermostat from under the housing. Install the thermostat, a new gasket, and reinstall the inlet and top hose before filling the system with new coolant.

Follow the top radiator hose back to the engine. The thermostat is behind the housing that connects the top hose to the engine block.
there are 2 large black hoses that come off of your radiator. the one located higher on the radiator (upper radiator hose) goes from your radiator to the thermostat housing. the thermostat housing is a metal tube that is bolted to the engine. the thermostat is located inside of the housing and can be accessed by removing the bolts
It is located under the thermostat housing. Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine. This is the thermostat housing. Remove the 2 bolts and pull housing off motor (motor should be cold when doing this). clean off gasket surfaces & replace thermostat. Bolt housing back on, open radiator, top off with coolant.
