4-H Horse shows are schooling shows for younger or un expirienced riders getting ready for larger more competitive shows. 4-H shows are shows put on by 4-H groups. The majority of the riders that show up for the show are riders in 4-H groups.
I dont personaly show in 4-H horse shows i have found that they have a rediculus rules (at lest the ones by me). if you are thinking about showing in a 4-H horse show you should contact your 4-H leader and get a Horse show rule book
well i just went to a county fair and the 4-h people were there and they said you can rent a horse if you dont have your own.
A 4-H project for a horse is when an older kid (older then 14) helps you train your green broke horse for shows and 4-H or when they observe you when riding and tell you things to help you out like critiqing. They will observe you and your horse for about a week and start working wihth you so you cna become a better rider. And win those blue ribbons!!

It isn't the breed specifically; you need a horse that is the right size for you, and you need a horse that's the right temperament If you are a beginner rider, you need a bombproof horse temperament 0-1). Intermediate should be about a 2-4 temperament. And so on. It also depends what you are using the horse for.
