You need a motorcycle license for a moped over 50ccs. You need a moped license for under 50cc.
You don;t need a license if your moped has 49cc's or less. Anything over 50cc's and you need a license.
not if its 50cc or less, but you need a driver's license and the moped needs to be titled, registered, and insured.
No, you do not need a motorcycle endorsement to operate a 50cc and under moped or scooter in Oregon. You do, however need either a regular driver's license, or a moped-restricted Class-C license.
No, if you are 16 or older you just have to take a written test for a moped license. You do not need a driver's license though. **Michigan requires that ages 15 to 19 wear motorcycle helmets by law** at age 15 you are required to apply for a moped license...if your over 16 you can use your drivers license and do not need a moped license, under 15yrs old you would need a moped license no testing is required above 19yrs old but you do need a regular drivers license, in 2007 Michigan changed the law requiring ALL 50cc or lower displacement to be registered as a moped. It use to be all 49cc and under require it, and a 50cc was a motorcycle... Michigan raised it to 50cc instead.
Yes even 50cc or under moped requires a valid DL. 14 year olds can get an M2 permit and drive a 50cc or under moped, but all operators still need a valid license.
no license or insurance needed if under 50cc
Yes if under 50cc don't need a motorcycle license
That all depends on the size of an engine. If it is under 50cc (in Michigan at least) you must be at least 15 and get a moped license which costs about 8 bucks, and you have to register the moped and put a sticker ont he back that costs 15 bucks. If it is OVER 50cc you need a driver's license and a moped endorsement. If it IS under 50cc AND you have a driver's license, you're good to go. Also, if you get a driver's license after you get a moped license, you have to give up the moped license, but you can still legally ride it
yes. anything over 50cc is considered a motorcycle in the state of maryland.sometimes you can get away with riding a 70cc moped but i dont suggest doing so.i ride mopeds and scooters.all 50cc. if you ride a moped you will need a drivers license,a learners permit or a moped license. but yes you need a motorcycle license for anything over 50cc.
Yes, anything that is above 50cc you will new a license for.
You must have a Valid license, but if the engine is > 50cc you do not need a motorcycle license. A class C will work fine. Also, the moped cannot have more than 2BHP or exceed 30MPH.
