The rest of IL is also restrictive...with the only fireworks able to be legally detonated being "safe and sane" items such as sparklers, smoke bombs, snappers, and small fountains. As of summer 2013, Sky Lanterns were specifically banned throughout the state as well. Anything bigger than the "safe and sane" articles mentioned above cannot be sold in IL.
