Depends on your home-country passport. The first list below is for passport holders who will be issued a visa upon arrival. The second list is for visa-free travel. For Indonesia (Bali), and if you're an Australian citizen you can get your Visa on Arrival once arriving to Bali without applying for it in advance.

You only need to have a passport valid still six months after your arrival date in Indonesia and pay the fare, 25 USD to get your visa stamp.
