Water pump does nothing for the aquarium.
Aquarium filter on the other hand, does biological filtration for the tank.
You need to understand the natural behind having a filter in the tank. It is for nitrogen cycle. Fish produce ammonia as waste, and some beneficial bacteria feed on ammonia will colonize the filter media. They convert ammonia into nitrite, then convert nitrite into nitrate.
Ammonia and nitrite are both toxic. Nitrate is relatively harmless at low concentration, yet it can crash the PH and lower fish immune system if the concentration is too high.
For a well maintained aquarium, we do partial water change of 30~50% once a week in order to keep nitrate in check, as well as to restore water buffer and minerals.
To understand this better, you need to learn more about aquarium nitrogen cycle.
no
Yes, Mosquitos lay there eggs in water and there larva live in water, Fish need water to survive and pond snails can also thrive in water.
They need water Fish can not process oxygen the same way mammels do. They get their oxygen throu molecules in the water.
You can simply fill up a cooler with your pond water and move the fish. Once you get to the new home, slowly add the new water to the cooler because the fish will go into shock from the immediate temperature change. The process should take around 20 to 30 minutes.
Depending on what type of marine life you have in. Just normal water for things like goldfish although, you still have to treat it. For tropical fish the water has to be at a constant warm termperature and also treated quite often. Marine fish the water would have to be salt water which fish shops sell or you could get it yourself from the ocean. This is inconvenient though as you have to change the water fortnightly.
The conditions necessary for a fish pond would be pretty much anywhere you decided to set one up. You will need to dig a hole, cover with a garbage bag lining, place the pond over the lining and fill with water. You will need to treat the water before adding the fish.
Why do you live on land? Fish don't have lungs they have gills, when moving water is going through them the gills take the oxygen from the water and the fish breaths, no water = no oxygen = dead fish.
fish and plants because all the animals in the pond or out the pond need to eat fish and plants EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can fish in any body of water, including the Goddess pond and Turtle pond.
Water in the pond is either fresh or marine. The pond may be dug and the water may be supplied into it, or it may be just a natural pond with water . See to it that the pond is free from wild fish and toxic materials because these are dangerous to growing fish Wish this will help xD Add me on facebook or Subscribe Syer.mendoza@yahoo.com
Because fish who can't hunt for food need the pond weed .
When the pond temperature rises, water levels increase, and other thing I don't know. But those are true for most pond fish.
Yes, fish do add weight to the overall weight of the water in a pond. This is because the fish has mass, which adds to the mass of the water. As the fish swims around in the pond, it displaces the water in the pond, which adds to the overall weight of the water in the pond. Furthermore, when a fish excretes waste or urine, it adds to the overall weight of the water in the pond. The additional organic matter in the water, such as food particles and other organic materials, also add to the overall weight of the water in the pond.
