Hi Nicole,
It's not necessary. First check the physical connections and then try uninstalling the drivers and reinstall them. That helps mostly. Also perform a Monitor Self Test. This should help in isolating whether the problem is with the monitor or the display card. Feel free to get back to me at the above mail ID just in case, you wish to consult me in this regard.
A bad neon light ballast will cause those lines if it is close to the PC.
Another PC running close to your PC will sometimes do it too.
You measure the screen by going diagonal across the screen. Some screens are up to one inch smaller than their advertised size.
The diagonal lines across the monitor may indicate that there is an issue with the video card. Try the uninstall/reinstall process, then the monitor's Self Test facility. These actions should highlight any problems and hopefully remedy them.
Yes, it is.
It is going down/up and right/left like this line is diagonal: /
七 [qī] It is a line going up to down, then a line going across to your right, then a little line up. Now start on your right side and draw a diagonal line in the middle of the line going down.
It is the square's diagonal.
If your television has bright colored lines going across it, there is probably something wrong with your screen. Contact your Toshiba representative to see if they offer any type of warranty or repairs.
The Amtrak logo has 3 diagonal blue lines. The name Amtrak is in blue letters and underneath run three diagonal lines going to the left.
This depends on whether this is a standard (4:3) or widescreen (16:9) television.I'm going to assume that you are talking about a widescreen television, as they don't usually make standard ratio televisions that big.The dimensions are roughly 27.9 by 15.7 inches
On a graph the x axis is the one going across the screen, the horizontal axis, and the y axis is going up or down, the vertical axis. A very simple way of remember is to think that the letter x looks like a cross. The letter x is a cross, and the x axis goes across the screen.
using a hard object hit the corner of it lightly and it should go away if not it's a hardware issue.
A split screen is where your screen has some thing going on on one side and something else going on on the other.
