No - the new version will take care of the whole installation process. It will remove the old version before installing the new one. It's rare for the operator to need to do any un-installing when upgrading.
Well you will need to uninstall Microsoft office 2007 and your files will go in to a text document than install 2003 and your files will go in to Microsoft office 2003. If you do not know how to uninstall 2007 here is how. You click the start button than you click control panel and it will go to a window showing a lot of things you can change. And one of the selections says Add or Remove programs and click on that and a window will pop up and shows stuff you have installed and look for Microsoft office 2007 and uninstall it and it will uninstall and then install Microsoft office 2003 and then there you go! THIS STUFF ONLY WORKS WITH WINDOWS XP AND MAYBE VISTA
Yes, I did that. Just ensure you dont remove any required file while uninstalling Microsoft Excel 2003. Like, when you start uninstalling system will prompt you if you want to keep/remove certain files on your computer. Choose not to remove, if there is dependancy than it will leave your ms office 2007 unfunctional.
Uninstall the software.
