only in the wintertime so they wont get to hot
It depends if your guinea pig goes to the washroom on the shelf. If it doesn't, no bedding needed. If it does, you should put bedding.
3 inches
Yes!!!!
They are supposed to go to the bathroom in the bedding in their cage.
They can not have cedar bedding because it has toxins in it that can kill a guinea pig.
Yes use pine bedding NOT sawdust it is very bad for there lungs if you need any advice on guinea pigs contact a guinea pig rescue not a pet store
Ebay, or your local pet store. Rabbit bedding is also very similar to guinea pig bedding and can be used as an alternative if required. You can also make your own guinea pig bedding out of a small cage, some hay/straw and a small circular pillow.
it depends on what cage you have in my opinion. If you have a cage from the pet store i think bedding but if u have a c&c cage where you can make it as long as you want fleece is the best because you only vacuum and replace the sheets. seriously think fleece is better though
You may want to add extra bedding or a shelter for your guinea pig as they may just want to burrow. I got my last guinea pig cage here http://www.petproductsbyroyal.com/rabbit-guinea-pig/ and love it!
Shower curtain, linolium floor, blankets,,
NO! That is cruel and guinea pigs will get fungal infections and there coat will get yuck! You should use a different bedding because the bedding you use is not absobent.
First find a safe place to put your guinea pig where it can't get into anything bad. Then take the cage and empty the bedding out and wash the empty cage with a hose. After that you should dry it with a clean towel, then clean out the food bowl with water, put fresh bedding and fresh food in it and you are done! (make sure u do this once a week)First you take the guinea pig out and place it in a safe area and make sure someone is watching it. Then take out top of cage. Remove everything inside of cage and spray down with 1/2 of vinegar and 1/2 of water. Spray down toys and food bowls and anything else in the cage. Put in new bedding and put in new food and replace anything else in the cage. Put the guinea pig in and your done. Do this weekly. And make sure you take out bedding where your pet has done it's business daily and replace it with fresh bedding.
Maybe, Maybe not. It depends if your bedding is wet, stinky, and has a lot of food and feces in it.I would change it every week.
First off do not use newspaper. The ink on the paper can be toxic. Use used paper bags. The ones you get from the grocery store. Then you can use wood shavings for bedding.
To refresh a Guniea pigs cage means to Take out the bedding and put more in. Also it means to takeout everything in the cage and clean everything, for example like your guinea pigs food bowl and the bottom of the cage. I hope I helped!Ps.To help you can also change the water and the food.
