Yes
As far as I know there is no automatic transmission fluid level dipstick on a Lincoln LS , the dealer has a way of checking from underneath the car
I believe that is Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid , pull your transmission dip stick out and confirm with printing on dip stick
The automatic transmission will have a dip stick location on a 1982 Honda Civic. Pull the dip stick to see the color and texture of the fluid.
Get the fluid to operating temperature like 15 minutes driving should do it, stop and with foot on the brake shift through all the gears and do it slowly, put in park and with the car still running check the level on the dip stick. Check on level ground.
The automatic transmission fluid dipstick is just to the passenger side of the engine by the firewall
in the dip stick hole.
You add automatic trans fluid through the dip stick that you use to check fluid level
Use a funnel and pour it down the dip stick tube ,..slowly . 5.5 litres and check .Fill as required .
If you look on the dip stick it should tell you what kind of fluid and how to check it
aroung 6q if not keep adding 1q at a time and checking stick and then when its on stick run the vehicle and leave in neutrial to insure proper level but since its 6 cyl. should take 6q. as of fluid if you are using Synthetic you cant go back to regular if not synthetic then use any ATF automatic tranny fluid or MTF Manual Tranny Fluid.
usually with the vehicle running and in park then check the dip stick
It is written on the transmission dip stick what type of fluid is used in that automatic transmission.
