A fork tool is helpful in releasing the ball joints. The bearings are pressed in the hub. so you need a press to separate the parts and put it back together. A shop will do the pressing for you at good savings if you take the hub off the car. Call around to make arrangements.
Follow the recommendations in your owners manual or change it every 5,000 miles.
if you have an owners manual tht would be really easy, if not... It depends on what year, you can look up the manual on how to do it by the year of your bike
You really need to get a manual. The process is too detailed to write up here. A good service manual will detail the process for you.
really you dont have to change it but done just like anything else take out drain plug
I would assume that the bearing will be similar to my Master, the wheel bearings are right sods, you will need a big press but before the press will be able to push the bearing out you will need to cut out the inner chase, no really even with a BIG press they wont shift, but when the center chase is removed (cutter required) the bearing will come free
Definitely NOT a job for the amateur. Very tricky and you really have to get the manual to learn how to do it. (personally, I wouldn't own ANY vehicle without getting the manual for it anyway)
with a lot of time an effort. I recommend dropping the coin and leaving this one to the professionals. I have never done this and you would at least need to invest in a service manual for this type of project. toyota's are notoriously hard to work on about things like this, so really, it is probably worth your money to have your dealer do it.
Very Carefully. For all the directions look at your owners manual it's really easy.
Your front bearings are sealed and are replaced only when they become noisy. A badly worn bearing will roar at speeds above 40mph and will change pitch somewhat as you change from lane to lane due to the side load that is placed on it. Tire noise (due to tires that need rotation) is sometimes mistaken for a worn bearing.
Really big.
Go to this site. http://ltd454.proboards.com/index.cgi There is an online manual there. It is really a brezze to change other that the super tight squeeze getting it back in place.
