I have two guinea pigs and have had them for 2 years. They are very fun little guys. I would recommend them as long as you have some spare time on your hands. Their cages should be cleaned once a week, they need lots of attention, and there are always chances of medical problems. If you feel up to giving them constant attention and love then I would say yes, definitely.
you can but i wouldn't recommend it,it might make your pig unhappy.
I guess not because we bought a guinea pig (not knowing) it was pregnant and it had its baby fine no problems cleaned it up and everything it must have gotten pregnant before PetSmart got it but we love our baby. :) I dont recommend it. My research says that if the guinea pigs get into a tussel they could eat the babies to protect them from getting hurt.
Guinea pigs can have heart attacks by eating to much unhealthy food like us! But if your concerned about your guinea pig having a heart attack i recommend you to take your guinea pig to the vet!
If a rooster wanted to it could easily kill a guinea pig.
OF COURSE IT IS BAD! Do you want your guinea pig to die?! If the answer is NO,(and I hope it is) be careful where you step, especially if your guinea pig is scurrying about somewhere. Hope this helped! PS. My parents are thinking of getting me a guinea pig, wish me luck! =)
I would not recommend giving a guinea pig any younger than 3 months a bath.
A guinea pig would be hard to hide that's for sure. They purr and squeal a lot. They also run around their cage and need to be taken out for exercise. I would recommend not getting one if you're not allowed. They require specific guinea pig pellets and hay and fruits and vegetables. A lot to hide. A guinea pig may seem easy to take care of to some people but getting any pet is a big commitment.
Depends on the circumastances, when stressed/ excited / getting fed they make squeaking noises.
My guinea pig, Jojo does that. I think it is because their nails might be getting a little bit to long.
I recommend a guinea pig as a pet over a mouse or a rat. Guinea pigs are social animals that enjoy human interaction and are less likely to bite compared to mice or rats. They are also easier to handle and care for, making them a great choice for first-time pet owners.
I would not recommend giving your pet guinea pig grass that has been sprayed with pesticide.
nothing, it just means ur guineaa pig is getting old
