You won't get pregnant - but you may have break through bleeding and you could ovulate so you should use a back up method if you were to become sexually active, until you have taken 7 pills in 7 days.

Yes. After you skip a couple of days, take two pills as soon as you remember, and two at the next scheduled time. Use a back up Birth Control method, like condoms or abstinence from vaginal sex, for the next 7 days.

What happens if you miss a full month of birth control?

Birth control loses all of its effect the day that you stop using it.

Can not taking your birth control pill on time a few days during a month cause you to skip your perid?

If you missed your period after not taking the birth control pill at the same time each day, the most likely reason is that you are pregnant. Some women will miss their periods randomly (or experience minimal spotting) while on birth control. You should take a pregnancy test to be sure.

Are you protected in the seven day gap of your birth control?

If you are taken your birth control daily! Well you can skip the sugar pills that is fine but if you take it daily you should be fine! and if its not the 1st month that you started your birth control if so you need to use an other form of birth control (CONDOMS)!

Can skipping birth control make you pregnant?

Yes. All you have to do is skip one pill or take it too late that day.

Is birth control effective if you start taking them before your period actually begins and not the last day of your period?

Hi, You can start taking birth control whenever you wish but you must never miss a dose as this will increase your chances of pregnancy. If you want your period to arrive on the same date then take your birth control on the 1st day of your period. You must continue to take birth control everyday and not miss a pill. If you miss a pill or several pills then you're at risk of pregnancy and you must always use a condom for 2 weeks when you miss one or more pills. Birth control does not reach its full effectiveness until you've been taking it for one month and you've received your 1st period while on birth control.

Can you skip a period after the first day of getting it?

I am not sure what you are asking. If you are asking can you skip periods the answer is yes. There are birth control pills that have only 4 planned periods a year. But if you are asking to skip a period once it has begun, you can't. You can't stop a period once it starts.

What happens if you start birth control on what you thought was the first day of my period but the next day the bleeding stopped Do you continue the birth control will it still prevent pregnancy?

for the first three months birth control messes with you a bit. You may skip periods, have only very light bleeding or spotting. It's something your body has to get used to. birth control does NOT stop a pregnancy that happened before starting it. Plan B however does if taken within the first 72 Hours.

What day should you start taking your birth control?

If you have a 5-7 day period will birth control be right for you?

Yes birth control will be right for you.

How do you not have a period while on birth control?

To skip/delay you period while on birth control, you are supposed to start a new pack of pills on the day that you would start your placebo pills. Basically you will skip your placebo week and replace it with an active week by starting a new pack of pills. This may cause you to either skip your period, or delay it. Usually by doing this, it only delays your period, and your cycle will be off next month, meaning you will no longer get your period on the same day that you normally would. Also, by doing this, most likely you will experience breakthrough bleeding.

Can you delay cycle by taking birth control pills?

Yes, skip the 7 inactive pills and go straight to the next packet of pills, the day after taking the last active pill, in packet 1.
