I would that generally the British do wear slippers. It is often cold here for much of the year and the majority of people seem to take their shoes off at the door. Its fine going barefoot or in socks when it is warm, but if it cold then to go without slippers in the house can be very uncomfortable.We are a shoes off house and We wear slippers. When we visit friends and family we take our slippers to change into. Many others seem to do this as well.
You should wear shoes that other people wear if you want to have style. If you want comfortable shoes, you should wear slippers, or sneaker's. Sometimes I wear boots that are soft inside.
you wear shorts in the Summer which is the same as Canada (Sometimes). In the Winter it is not that cold do you can sometimes wear shorts. you probly want to wear a jacket in Winter though.
I most certainly do wear slippers. We don't allow shoes in the house, they come off at the door and we change straight into our slippers. It keeps the carpets clean and our feet warm.
