yes there is a transmission range sensor there may be more but this is the sensor i am dealing with right now.. Hope this helps
It has a "transmission range sensor" which also functions as a neutral safety swich; it is located on transmission where the gear selector cable attaches (cable attaches to range sensor).
I was looking at the 2000 Lincoln LS Owner Guide and it shows that the 5R55N automatic transmission does not have a fluid level dipstick
In the latch mechanism
position cam sensor 3.9 licon ls
it's machine filled...
it does not have one its a sealed unit
Where is camshaft sensor on 2002 Lincoln ls
On a 2000 Lincoln LS , 3.9 liter V8 engine : Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine Sensor 2 is in the exhaust after the exhaust has passed through the catalytic converter ( downstream sensor )
Tail shaft housing is the rear end of the transmission where the drive line bolts up. On the Lincoln LS it is also where you fill up the transmission with Mercon V (transmission fluid)
According to the 2000 Lincoln LS Owner Guide : ( Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid is used as the power steering fluid )
You don't. The transmission on a 2004 Lincoln LS is sealed.
Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid is used in the power steering according to the 2000 Lincoln LS Owner Guide
