Strattera is an ADHD med. Seroquel may possibly be used to treat hyperactivity but using it on children is highly questionable. Seroquel in high doses is used to treat psychosis and manic episodes. Low doses of Seroquel have been used on adults to treat anxiety and as a sleep aid.

Absolutely not. I am an adult with ADD and I am on 60 mg of Straterra and a maximum of 50 mg Seroquel daily. That Seroquel is knocking that kid out all day. The Straterra is trying to help with focus and the Seroquel is putting the child's mind in a fog. I have no idea why a doctor would prescribe Seroquel to a ten year old, particularly in such a high dose, if it's only for ADD. It's a powerful medication. The child could easily walk in front of a speeding car because he's so out of it. This doctor has no idea of what he's doing.

yes, it could. its never a good idea to mix benzodiazepenes and seroquel.

Both are very sedating, and Nyquil contains a significant amount of alcohol, which is highly not good in combination with Seroquel.

Yes, although dxm will linger in your system longer because your body won't be able to metabolize the dxm as good as without Strattera.

I've been lifting weights since taking seroquel, it has caused no problems. Since seroquel makes you sleepy its good for helping you sleep after a big workout leaving you feeling refreshed the next day.
Can you take Lortab with seroquel?
I know an older lady who is actually prescribed 40mg x 3 plus 200mg of Seroquel, but I would NOT recommend doing this. She has been taking these medications for years, and unless your doctor gives the okay, do NOT mix these. Seroquel will knock you on your ass, and not in a good way.

well if it helps my phdoc has me on 40 ml celexa and 50ml of seroquel. seems to be a good combination for me i feel okay through the day and sleep well at night. i take celexa in the morning and seroquel at bedtime.
Is Strattera advisable even if you are a recovering alcoholic and bulimic?
I am both a recovering alcoholic and bulimic. I have absolutely no appetite on strattera, so it should not trigger any bulimic behavior. I have just over a year sober and have had no desire to drink since taking the medication. So for me, strattera has not had any negative effect on either affliction. Good luck!
