AMT went out of businees and was bought by another company that kept the name. They only make pistols.
As of 2010 they did.

Sears had rifles made in .22 and .22L under the Ted Williams brand by Winchester (M94, M190) and Ithica (M49). -- But Only ONE of those is semiauto -- The marking on your rifle is actually '3T' not '37.' It is the Winchester Model 190 as made for Sears. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Some air rifles were available in .22 caliber.
You need to take it to a gunsmith.

No. It is a 22LR semiauto, and needs 22 LR ammo to cycle the action.
The only rifles shown in the current on line catalog is the Thunderbolt line of .38/.357 pump action rifles. Sorry, no .22s.
It is entirely possible. In the 1970s, Daisy began making .22 Long Rifle FIREARMS- not BB guns, but actual firearms. At that time, K Mart was actively selling inexpensive rifles and shotguns. Today the Daisy .22 LR guns are fairly scarce- but there was a bolt action and a semiauto made- as well as the Daisy "caseless" .22 rifle.
Prior to 1968, some inexpensive .22 rifles were not serialized.
