Footers are rarely used in APA style. To be safe, it is best to just not use them. The reason for this is that most of the information that would be placed in footer is found in the running head and within the actual body of the paper. So there is never really any need for footer in APA-style papers.

In APA formatting, papers typically do not include a footer. The main components of an APA paper are the title page, abstract, main body, and references page. However, specific requirements can vary by institution, so it's best to consult the guidelines provided by your instructor or the publication you are submitting to.
