Most of the main characters survive. Annie Haywood (Suzanne Pleshette), the school teacher for Bodega Bay School dies. Many of the good citizens of Bodega Bay though have their eyes pecked out, althought I'm unsure if a person can die from this. All the children at Kathy's birthday party survive as well. Oh, and Kathy's love birds survive.
