Aruba is a hospitable and welcoming environment for many different species. For example, there are numerous kinds of lizards: half of the species of lizard known to man reside exclusively on this island. The kododo blauw has a blue-green color, is quite friendly and totally vegetarian. Pega Pega are cousins to the gecko and get their name in the Papiamento language (pega means to stick), from the tiny suction pads on their feet which allow them to walk practically anywhere. You will also see iguanas, which can change color depending on their surroundings. Aruba is also home to wild donkeys, goats, toads, pelicans, snakes, and numerous other species. I enclose a link to a site that tells you more about the animals, birds, reptiles etc that are found on Aruba.
