What happens in the 1 pendragon book?

What is pendragon about?
it is about a kid who learns he is a traveler. this means he will go to different worlds to save them. each world has a turning point, it could be pushed the wrong way or the right. boobby pendragon, the main character is trying to push the territories the right way, but en evil demon, saint daine, is against the trvelers and is trying to push the worlds( called territories) the wrong way. Bobby pendragon is not the only traveler. There is a traveler from each territory(ex: Pendragon from second earth, Gunny from first earth, Patrick from third earth, Alder from denduron, Spader from cloral, Kasha from ealong, ect.)There are a total of ten territories. Each time pendragon saves a territory( sometimes doesnt save) saint dane goes to the next territory and the travelers follow him. IN each book first they have to find out what the turning point is( ex: on first Earth it was the HIndenburg disaster) and then try to push it the right way. Each book has different surprises and twists. Ten books in all. GREAT SERIES!

But child services come to check on bobby after missing a month of school so his parents tell them he went missing. eventually bobby finds sheila borden. a woman who has the same problem as him. but shiela wants to stay invisible unlike bobby. i hope this helped

Lady Pendragon is based on the character Guinevere from the Arthurian legends. Whether she was a real person that inspired the legend, or complete fabrication of some early celtic bard is up for debate. To my knowledge Lady Pendragon was not based on any historical figure you'll find in a text book.

What are some young adult novels that you could probably find in a random bookstore but that most people haven't read that you like and do not have vampires witches werewolves or wizards?
One one my all-time favorite series that has nothing to do with any of those fantasy topics is D.J. MacHale's PENDRAGON. (also refered to as the pendragon adventure) I don't know anyone else that reads them, and they are amazing. Their are currently 10 books in the series and the 10th came out just 2 days ago! As of May 12, the amazingly fabricated tales have sadly come to an end. They follow the chronicles of Bobby Pendragon, a teenager who discovers that he, as well as his two best friends, Mark Dimond and Courtney Chetwynde, must try to save the universe. Each book switches between the first-person perspective of Bobby's journals and third-person narratives of other prominent characters. The heroes (usually just Bobby), travel trough 10 different terretories of the universe using transports called "flumes".
