Most of them will hold 5 QTS with a new filter.Chevy did use some 6 QT and 7 qt oil pans but most of them are 4-wheel drives that used those.Start with 5 and a new filter. Add if needed.
It will hold 5qts with a 1/2 qt. filter,if its a 4x4 it will hold 6qts. with a 1/2 qt. filter. that is if engine is a v8, if it's a big block it may hold up to 7qts.
