this is not a reasonable question?
accually, and suprisingly, they do. I'm doing a report on Chile, so i even looked this question up, and they have a certain day they celebrate it on. which is June 12. Puerto De Rieno, is what they call it. In 1973, David Honier, or in Spanish, Dinvan Juper, was the one who discovered a mystery island who no person ever new about. that island is so small.... you can even see it on an map! that's all i know! :-) bye
Yes, Day of the Dead is celebrated in Chile. Though it is not a time to necessarily dress up in a skeleton costume and party - it is a much more somber holiday. Most businesses will be closes and many people will be at the cemeteries. Not in a sad way either, but in a happy one. Temples are made for your loved ones, as is Pan De La Muerto (or, bread of the dead).
It is different than Halloween, which is also celebrated in Chile, but on a pretty small scale.
Also, that picture with the statue of Jesus stretching his arms out over a city on the water isn't Chile, it's Brazil.
